Here are a closer look at two widely-used resources: Briefing Papers and the Quotation Search Engine. (Hint: All of these resources are accesible from the Browse Resources link in the upper right corner of each page.) 
Briefing Papers summarize various topics relating to philanthropy. The papers serve to provide an abbreviated snapshot of significant concepts, people and organizations linked with philanthropy. The three- to five-page Briefing Papers cover the following informational areas:
- Definition, Historic Roots
- Importance
- Ties to the Philanthropic Sector
- Key Related Ideas
- Important People Related to the Topic
Once the Briefing Paper index page is accessed, the papers are searchable by Title, or by the categories Concepts, People or Organizations.
BRIEFING PAPERS AS A STUDENT RESOURCE
Learning to Give teachers report that Briefing Papers are a great resource for students also—high school students in particular. With such a wide range of topics—from Oprah Winfrey to The Humane Society to the concept of Natural Resources—and a large quantity—almost 400—there are endless ways to utilize these valuable materials.
