The lesson gave students a better understanding about the concept of philanthropy and its integration into their lives. Students brainstormed a variety of community connections and found ways they felt they could get involved.
This was a very insightful lesson. My students were able to define philanthrophy in their own words and come away with a better understanding of the concept, as well as, think of ways they could get involved while home for the summer.
